CAROLINE CHADIMA

Director of Case Management

Caroline was raised in the Midwest with deep roots in the farming and business communities. Since 1990, Caroline has lived in Colorado where she raised her sons. Caroline owns a counseling agency and also serves as Assessment and Intake Coordinator for a medical agency that treats people addicted to drugs. Ten years ago, God gave her a desire to build a recovery village for the formerly incarcerated. Next to helping others rehab from addiction and incarceration, Caroline’s passion is to help others learn to live simply. She believes a healthy lifestyle can be achieved by being as self-sustaining as possible through growing and preparing one’s own food.

Past business/ work affiliations: Thirteen years in case management and counseling, working with Colorado probation, parole and the Department of Corrections running programs in substance abuse recovery. Caroline has hired, managed and trained case management and counseling staff and has designed and implemented programs. She is a public speaker, a contract negotiator, and has a background in sales and customer service. She has worked at increasing community involvement and patient access to psychiatric, medical, substance abuse services and employment. Caroline is licensed and certified to conduct mental health and substance abuse assessments, client need and risk of recidivism. She is experienced in the safety of running outpatient and inpatient programs, strictly adhering to all federal and state laws in OSHA, HIPPA and 42 CRS.

 

Education: Caroline has a Bachelor of Science, Human Services, Counseling and Mental Health Degree from Metropolitan State University in Denver. Graduated Maga Cum Laude. Recipient of the MSU “Outstanding Human Services Student in Mental Health” Award, 2007. Member of MSU President’s Honor Society, Alpha Delta Omega Honor Society, National Honor Society in Human Services, Golden Key Honor Society, and Psi Chi Honor Society. Passed the National Certified Addiction Counselor II exam in 2009.  

 

Certifications: Certified Addictions Counselor III; Registered Psychotherapist; Passed NCAC II exam; Approved Treatment Provider Colorado Department of Corrections; Level of Service Inventory; Adult Substance Use Survey; Strategies for Self-Improvement and Change®; Moral Reconation® Therapy; Motivational Interviewing; Seeking Safety Trauma care; What Works® forensics trained clinician; Train the Trainer Certification; and Adult Learning Protocols.

 

Ministry experience: Caroline has led Bible studies and participated in church worship since early in life. She taught abstinence from sex and drugs in the Denver Public schools and was a volunteer infectious disease speaker and trainer in Uganda. She also volunteered for disaster relief with the Fire Department of New York after 911.  Caroline has devoted her professional and personal life for the past fourteen years to serving people rehabbing from incarceration and drug addiction. She attends Brave Church in Englewood, Colorado.
